This Privacy Policy explains how Tarby Solutions FZCO ("Tarby", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit tarby.ai, create an account, or use the Tarby retail platform (the "Service").
1. Who we are

2. Controller and processor roles
Tarby acts as a data controller for the limited personal data we collect to run our business — for example, the contact details of the person who signs up for an account, and website analytics.
For the business data that a customer (a retailer) loads into or generates within the Service — such as their own customers, transactions, inventory, and accounting records — Tarby acts as a data processor and handles that data on the retailer's instructions. The retailer is the controller of that data.
3. Data we collect
Account & contact data
- Name, business name, email address, and phone number you provide when requesting access or registering.
- Authentication data (e.g., a hashed password, or your Apple ID identifier if you sign in with Apple).
Customer business data (as processor)
- Records you enter or import into the Service, which may include your customers' contact details, sales and payment records, inventory, and accounting entries.
Technical & usage data
- IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the website or Service for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This marketing website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use only what is necessary to deliver and secure the site, including security and performance services provided by our edge provider (Cloudflare) and web fonts served by Google Fonts. The Service itself uses a strictly necessary token to keep you signed in.
5. How we use data
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service and website.
- To create and manage your account and respond to your requests.
- To send service and administrative messages (e.g., account approval, security notices).
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
6. Sub-processors and sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms:
- Microsoft Azure — application and database hosting.
- Cloudflare — DNS, edge security, and content delivery.
- Google — business email (Google Workspace) and web fonts.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
7. International transfers
Tarby is based in the UAE and our providers may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers and applicable law.
8. Data retention
We keep account and contact data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal obligations. Customer business data is retained according to the retailer's instructions and our agreement with them, and is deleted or returned on termination as described in that agreement.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credentials, access controls, and per-tenant data isolation. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify affected parties of material incidents as required by law.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email hello@tarby.ai. If your data was provided to the Service by a retailer (as controller), we will refer your request to them.
11. Children
The Service is a business tool not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
